Phnom Penh

26/01 - 28/01

On our last night in Siem Reap we watched a traditional Cambodian dance show and went a bit crazy in Pub Street .... The next morning we travelled to Phnom Penh - Not a good idea for some after those tequila shots and buckets!! It was our first proper night out with the group of people who are on the same tour as us!! ..... What BABESSSSSS!!

Phnom Penh was chaos!! the King had died and loadsssssss of people were visiting the city!!!

One morning we went on a boat ride down the Mekong River and visited the Central and Russian markets!! In the afternoon we went on a guided tour to S-21 and the Killing Fields!! Very very very emotional day!!

Beach timeeee!!

Finally!!! A beach!!!

Favourite couple of days so far!! Sunbathing ... Sunbathing ... Swimming .. Sunbathing!! The beaches in Sihanoukville are beautifullllll!!!

Today we caught a little wooden boat to Koh Rue and went snorkelling (was not a good idea kicking that rock) played volleyball and had a BBQ on the beach!!

Not looking forward to our 8 hour bus journey to Vietnam tomorrow!!

Oops this is a bit late!!

Sooo on 25/01 we went a bit crazy for temples in Siem Reap!! We visited Angkor Wat, Angkor Tom and Bayon I think :/ ... After being up at 4.45am to catch sunrise at Angkor Wat which was amazing by the way, by the end of the day we were zombified after exploring the ancient ruins!!! It was quite kool to visit one of the temples where Tomb Raider was filmed though!!! There's a little fact for you!!

Happy Birthday Ginge!!

It's a day late but had some wifi issues lol so HAPPY bIRTHDAY for 23/01/13 to Sarah!!!! Have to get that in there first otherwise she will kill me!!

The last two days we've been in cazy Bangkok!! We Caught a taxi from the airport to Nap Park Hostel which was sooooo nice even if we seen a rat outside!! We only had two nights in Bangkok before our trip into Cambodia & Vietnam but at least we are going back later on!! We managed to venture to Khaosan Road in the Banglampu area and then to Patpong night market where all the locals were singing happy birthday to Sarah!! Bangkok = lots of music ... Lots of drinks ... Lots of girls/boys!!! Ooo there was also some ridiculousss!! Street dancers!! Ooo and we got a tuk tuk and nearly died!!

Today we crossed the boarder into Cambodia and made our way into Siam Reap!! After all day travelling, this evening we went to New Hope School!! This is a charity that has been set up to give the local community access to education and health care because they have NOTHING!! The kids are sooo happy and funny!! we sat in a classroom chatting with some students and they asked us to read and sing To them!! We had our evening meal in the restaurant the charity runs which trains up locals giving them skills to go on and get a job! .... And there were only 2 volunteers there from Cardiff that Sarah knew!! We all ate local food and we even ate a CRICkET!!!! All of us except Kate the chicken!!! Crunchy!!

We've got an early start tomoz so I'm off to bed now! ... Have to be up at 4.45am ready to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat!!

Devo!! Went to another market and has some more tasty asian food and also had the most amazing massage ever, were all like zombies after!! Even if it was a bit weird being straddled by a woman!! Had an amazing last night watching some live music but the shots were probably a bad idea as we had to get up early this morning!!

Bigggg Thanks to Nina, Max, Lizzie and our new hommies Chris and Tash for showing us around Hong Kong and making are first stop a memorable one!!! Ginge will defo be back for the 7s so watch out rugby boys!! Ha!
