Do they have cowboys in Wales?! (American accent)

This morning the team split up for a couple of hours and we all got to see two very different sides of Bryce Canyon!

Sarah and Kate drove the length of the canyon, 18 miles, stopping at all the view points and taking amazing photos! They watched a documentary all about the canyon and filled us in on all the 'hoodoos' and 'amphitheatres'!! They also managed to blag there way onto the back of a Harley Davidson!! Crazyyyy girlsssss!!

Instead of a Harley Davidson Hannah and I settled for a horse lol!! We booked to go on the horse-riding trip around Bryce and this morning as we were chatting away to the gentleman taking our booking he asked where we were from and asked if there are any cowboys in Wales? .... Sorry hunny no cowboys in Wales!! How about cowgirls he said?? Nooooo!!

Anywayyyy ..... We were shown what horses we would be riding, Hannah had Pepper and I had Zero the little fatty!! We saddled up and headed through Dixie national forest in a group of 10 people, lead by Justin and Hoot (lmao) the cowboys and Hoots little Jack Russell Dexs! We made our way up to the top of the north rim of Bryce Canyon passing some wild antelope along the way. What an amazing way to see the canyon even if we now have sore bums and smell like horses!!

Afterwards we met back up with the girls at Ruby's Inn and you know how much girls like to dress up, well we had a western style photo!! A bit cringe but soooo much fun!! The pictures are on a disc so you'll have to settle for a couple of sneaky ones we took on the iPhone.

We then jumped back in the car and travelled out of Utah into Arizona and we haven't long arrived at Red Indian Lodge in the Grand Canyon!! Sleep time now ready for a long day tomorrow! Night x

Back in the car!!

Evening all!! This morning we left our cosy wooden lodge at Camp Richardson for a lovely 10 hour drive to Bryce Canyon.

Today we drove out of California, all the way through Nevada along Route 50, the loneliest highway in America and trying not to knock over the cows who thought it was funny to play in the middle of the highway! Finally we crossed the state line into Utah where we eventually found Bryce View Lodge where we are spending the night.

This evening we went for food in the hotel restaurant and afterwards made the most of the swimming pool and jacuzzi before we got chucked out!!

We're all looking forward to exploring Bryce Canyon tomorrow .... Hopefully on horseback woooo!!

Camp Richardson @ Lake Tahoe

The best western was so dark, quiet and the beds were so comfy we could barely sleep as for the past 3 and half months we've been living in dorms!! Breakfast was included so we ate masses and stole some bagels, muffins and packets of porridge for later!! There was a old car convention at the hotel so we checked out the cool old Chryslers before we left!
We drove from the best western to Lake Tahoe on a mountain road with lush views of the lake (which is sooooo big it looks like it could be a sea!!). It was so weird it was so hot but up on the mountains there was still loads of snow!! We stopped for some pictures with views of the lake and views over emerald bay which was so nice! We found a hotel to stay in right by the beach which is like a log cabin with a huge fire place (not that we need it at this time of year) wooden carved bears and carved wooden beds! We spent the afternoon sun bathing although the lake was freezing so no one ventured in! The water is so clear you can see the bottom even at the end of the pier! We went into town to get some food and only found a 2L bottle of Smirnoff vodka for $19.99 so we had to buy one for when we go to Vegas!! Absolute bargain!!! After we went back for tea... Which as we are trying to save money consisted of soup or cereal (YUM). Kate didn't read the instructions properly and didn't add any water to her condensed soup and ended up with looked like a bowl of tomato ketchup! Lol! After we had a movie marathon on the hotels big tv in the lounge.
We decided to spend a second day chilling by the lake and tea is soup and cereal again!
