We love Magnetic Island!

We are loving lie in magnetic island!!! yesterday we went to the beach all day and chilled in the 35 degree heat and enjoyed a dip on the pool! We can't go in the sea though as stinger season is between November to may (fact of the day!!)

Today we decided what better way to explore this fabulous, sunny island than to hire a moped!!

We got out mopeds this morning and after a few lessons and bumpy starts we were ready to go! We drove around all day and stopped at loads of different beaches on a convey and played football chilled and caught some rays! We also fed some rock wallabies and even saw a shark!!!

On the way back we filled up the tanks and our convey made the journey back my moped called living the dream was killing everyone with its pure speed!!!

Tonight is the last night with the gurnseys lads (they are actually pussies) so were going hard as its going to be emote!!! We will miss you :)

Sky Dive Envy!!

Yesterday the girls did a Sky Dive in Cairns and it was the best thing they've ever done in there life!! Jealous?? ... Yes i am especially as I waited at the landing strip taking photos of them but I'm 100% doing one just waiting until I get to New Zealand before I throw myself from a plane!!

Over to Hannah for a bit more info ....

It was literally the best thing I've ever done!! After a very early start we watched the safety video and signed forms to say it wasnt their fault if we died which made us shit ourselves even more!!

We were then assigned a instructor and got on the bus to the airport to get on the smallest tin can of an aeroplane which didn't look like it would even be able to fly! We sat in the plane on benches strapped to our instructors so we ended up being pretty much on their lap (nice and cosy!!)

After about 5 mins we looked seriously high up (you could barely see the cars!) and we asked how high we were and we were only at 2000 feet!! Only another 12000 feet to go! Ahhhh! We went up through the clouds and after calming my self down they opened the door and we starting shitting ourselves all over again!

The worst part of the whole thing was watching the others jump as it looked like they were being sucked out to their death!! Three people jumped then Sarah was up and I was screaming my head off by this point (more than she was I think!)!! My instruction started moving me toward the door and I was screaming and telling him to please don't drop me! There was no going back now he just jumped straight out!

Free falling for 60seconds was the best feeling ever! It doesn't feel like your falling which is what I thought it would feel like! It felt like you were almost floating and we did a flip on the air! The instructor taps your arm which are crossed when you jump out of the plane and you can stretch your arms out. It was INCREDIBLE!!!! I would 100% do it again. When the parachute goes up I was actually disappointed the free fall was so quick!

The views were amazing and we got to steer the parachute and we did some spins and turns in the air before landing in a field! You have such an adrenaline rush after and I was on a high for the rest of the day!! It was a serious bucket list moment!!!!

As the bravest of the bunch I decided to take one for the team and take the leap of faith first! The only thing I saw before I left the airplane was Hannah and Kate's faces and screams (brilliant) but flyer that I felt like a bird free falling absolutely INCREDIBLE it is definitely something everyone HAS to do!

After a few minutes parachuting I had the best landing and en managed to land standing up (absolute pro!) I felt like I was on top of the world and could do anything so I'm going to move to aus to become a scuba/sky die instructor #LAD! Hello Magnetic Island!

Hey guysssss,

Today we left rainy Cairns and caught our first Greyhound bus of many to Townsville where we caught the ferry to Magnetic Island! This is the Australia we've been waiting for! Beaches, sunshine and Koala spotting! Oh yerrrrr!!

Captain Mattys Barefoot tour!

So today we all had to get up at 7 after having a very hard session the night before and getting in at 4am!! After a quick TC (tactical chunder) by me the ginger one we all headed onto the bus.

Still drunk we bantered with our tour guide Captain Matty who was an absolute Hun. I then chundered out of the window the whole way there managing to chunder on Bethan and Hannah (technically that was the winds fault) and all over Captain Mattys face on the outside of the bus and bruising my face by squishing my head out of the window!

So after all of that drama, we started the journey through the Atherton Tabelands Rainforest and dodging the PSYCHO KILLER DEATH COWS (private Australian joke ... Weirdos)!

First stop was a MASSIVE lake made by a volcano crater! Hannah and I couldn't wait to jump in so it would sort our hangover out! Unfortunately Kate and Bethan didn't want to get in and went for a sunbathe, but Captain Matty wasn't having any of this and full on dunked/body slammed Bethan and Kate in the water fully clothed!! You did get the feeling a crocodile was going yo swim up behind you tho!! After some fruit and muffins we headed off to another location, Mila Mila waterfall!

Mila mila means water water in aborigine and was also where Peter Andre apparently filmed the video for Mysterious Girl and where they film the herbal essence adverts! So after flicking our hair for a few piccies (bar Kate!!) .. Very cringey btw we all swam behind the waterfall which was awesome!! Kate again had no choice to whether she was getting in or not!

Still feeling hanging we were glad to head for some well deserved food! As I was moaning all day about being hanging and chundering all over the bus, CaptainMatty thought it would be a fab idea to make me do a shot of tequila which I happily accepted and downed like a true Welshman!!

After all that per lava we all headed to Josephine falls and got to slide down a naturally made slide! This was the best bit of the day but again didn't go without incident! Kate whacked her elbow and had a bruise while Bethan had to be rescued by a random Australian as she got stuck at the side of the waterfall! The Current was soooo strong!! So after a few slides we headed for some afternoon tea of tea, hot chocolate, Tim tams (omg delicious) and biscuits!

After a tough day of spewing and swimming we all headed back onto the coach and slept all the way home!!

We all had a fab day and are just counting down the days til the skydive :s wish us luck!!!

Great Barrier Reef!

Woooooo!!! So we've only been in Cairns for 2 hours and we've booked our whole trip down the East Coast of Australia!!

We've booked some scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, visiting some waterfalls, couple of days in Magnetic island, visiting Arlie beach for a couple of days, doing a sky dive, going to the Whitsunday islands where we stay on a boat for a couple of nights, driving around Fraser Island and camping, Brisbane, Byron Bay, some surfing lessons and then down to Sydney! Absolutely cannot wait!! Just don't as how much it all cost!! Ouffff!


So day 2 .... We had to be up at 7.30 am today but it was SOOO worth it!! We walked to the reef terminal from Gilligans hostel and got on the boat. We got suited and booted for the journey including a mask, stinger suit and flippers!

After a very bumpy rode where Bethan and Kate slept, Han was outside as white as a sheet and I was vomming, we arrived at the first stop!

Bethan, Han and I had booked scuba diving but unfortunately Han couldn't dive due to her antibiotics! So while Bethan and I got out tanks on the girls went snorkelling!

The scuba diving was amazing, soo good bethan and I had to do another 1! We all saw some fab fish, colourful coral and we had amazing crew on the boat who were all huns!

Cannot wait to go out tonight and have a chill and lie in tomorrow!! Well deserved I think!!
