Kuala Lumpur

We arrived at Kuala Lumper yesterday after only a four hour journey - from the jungle we had to hire a taxi as the buses to K.L were later on in the day and we didn't want to waste any time! Not complaining, private taxi over public Asian transport any day of the week mate!!!

Happy to be back in civilisation and with our hostel perfectly placed in the middle of the Golden Triangle Area/shopping heaven!! We raced out to the shops!! Obviously only window shopping ha! Later on we visited the Petronas Towers but were too late to go and cross the bridge connecting the two towers :( have to save that till another day!

Main highlight/disaster of the night! Ginge had her bag snatched!! The rest of the night spent in a Kuala Lumper Police Station, giving statements and panicking that we would not be able to fly to Australia in FIVE days time!!! We did however get a ride home in the police car with the sirens on and a bit of One Direction blasting, Ginges fav!!

Never fear!! We spent this morning at the British Embassy (not as glam as we were expecting) and managed to sort a temporary passport out!! Whoo!! Ginge has to send an application for another passport which we will get by the time we leave Australia!! As for the rest of her belongings ..... Malaysia has them now!!

FYI - Ginge cowrote this with me and is finally smiling about the good reading material she's providing!!

Also .... We have booked tickets to go to Future Music festival tomorrow night!! How exciting!!!
