Byron Bay!

Byron is a proper hippy surfer town! We spent one day chilling at the beach and watching the surfers surf. Some of them are incredible doing flips with the surf boards then landing and proceeded to carry on riding the wave!
On day two we had a surf lesson as Ginge and I had had a lesson before we went straight in the sea with one of the instructors whilst Kate and the other group members learnt how to stand on te boards with Kate being the only on to get a cheeky 10 out of 10 on her technique!
After about 30 mins they joined us in the sea and went spent the next few hours trying to catch some waves! Although we all had some spectacular falls we all qmanaged to stand up!! Wahhooo! Riding the waves were fun... Trying to get back out with a huge long board with waves crashing into you wasn't quite as easy!!
We also met up with our favourite Canadians in Byron!! Who informed us of a hippy band that played on the beach at sun down so we wondered down and watch 4 hippies on bongos, one on the sax and one on guitar. They were actually really good even though their clothes were so weird!!
We splashed out on meat in Byron and had a kangaroo steak each! It was sooooo nice defo having one of them again!! We also splashed out on vodka!! Wahoo no more goon!!
Byron was also full on amazing buskers, people hulla hooping and doing circus tricks! Absolutely loved Byron definitely would come back we love it!!
