Queenstown take 2!

Apart from skydiving Queenstown has so many other activities you can do!! It's activity central but just didn't have the time to fit everything in and all the more reason for me coming back ha ha!!

During the rest of our stay we rode to the Gondola high above Queenstown where the views were beautiful! The gondola is based on Bobs Peak and in the distance we could see Coronet Peak and the Remarkables mountain range right down to Lake Wakatipu.

From the top we raced down in luge carts! It was sooo much fun and you do go quite fast! I thought I was going to come off at one point! Curt you have to admit I wasn't bad for a newbie!!

That evening we went out in the centre and went to the minus 5 degrees Ice Bar. We had to wear puffy coats, gloves and funky hats if we wanted to! Everything was made out of ice, the furniture, the glasses, the statues, chandelier and the air hockey table!

The next day we went on a gentle boat trip (which we needed after the previous night - Ring of Fire struck again!) around Lake Wakatipu and got a little closer to those mountain ranges! We had some delish food from Winnies Pizza, Flame and some mouth watering chocolate from Patagonia! Um um ummmmmm!!!

What a way to finish off Queenstown than with a bit of Lord of the Rings! It was where it was filmed after all!! I had to drag the guys into the shop (NOT!! They loved it) for a bit of fancy dress! Can you guess what characters we are? Haaa!! So cringe!!

Well done Curt and Rossan for the long drive home as the rest of us in the back were ZzzzzzzZzzzzzzzzz!!
