We packed the car up and with Curt as driver started our 5 hour journey!! it didn't feel that long as we passed the most beautiful scenery ... unlike anything I've seen before!! So many mountain ranges, greenery, lakes, sheep and the sun was shining!!
On the way we stopped off at Lake Takepo and Lake Twizel! They looked like a postcard! The water was baby blue and they were surrounded by mountains where the peaks showed signs that winter is on it's way! I sort of persuaded Nic and Curt to go for a dip (Rossan and Kayleigh you chickens) ... Who knows when our next opportunity would be?? The water was ice cold and we were soon shivering and running back out!! So funny!
We arrived in Queenstown and after a quick stop at the legendary Ferg Burger, people in Queenstown go crazy for it, we arrived at our home for the weekend and I couldn't believe the place the boys had arranged for us to stay in! It was soooo snazzy!! Defo a change from the £4 a night hostels I've been used to!! The view was stunning and I probably had the best night sleep in a very long time!! 11 Alphine View I'm going to miss you!!
