It's Yo-sem-it-e not Yose-mite.

So after finding our little tent/marquee at Yosemite Bug Hostel and being frozen to death in the middle of the night (we all had our hoodies, socks and about 3 blankets over us) we managed to get up at a relatively decent time, have breakfast and plan our next 2 days in Yosemite National Park which was about 43 miles from the hostel!

We travelled about an hour and made it to the most beautiful national park with lakes, mountains, waterfalls, trees and a lot of squirrels!! The first day was spent visiting and taking pictures in the different areas of the national park which was MASSIVE! Brideveil falls was a massive waterfall and it was soo beautiful but we all got soaked from the spray, which was a really good picture spot but not very camera friendly! We then headed to Sentinel Bridge another fab picnic and picture spot where we caught our first sight of Yosemite falls! After a few pictures and a good look at the view we headed to the grand finale which is Yosemite falls! As we didn't have time to walk to the top we did the little walk under the falls which was incredible. The falls were split into 3 waterfalls that fell into Yosemite valley and as it was so amazing we decided we had to walk up there the next day!

So the next day Bethan Han and I trekked our way up the mountain which took us 4 hours (Taman Negara nightmare all over again!) unfortunately Kate had to abandon as she forgot her asthma pump but she had a fab day feeding squirrels crisps and sunbathing! After making It to the top (victory!!!) we climbed onto this platform that had been made into a viewpoint right on the tip of the waterfall where the water falls off the edge! Soooo scary but worth it!! At the top we stopped for a little snack to reenergise for the 2 hour journey back down!! Bethan incurred a knee injury, Han with her retarded foot and me with my toe injury from the Germans battled our way down to find Kate lounging in the car!

After taking our shoes off and facing our war wounds we headed back onto route 99 heading north. I think we were a bit optimistic thinking we'd make it to Lake Tahoe the same day, instead we settled for a steak in Applebee's :) and Kate took the wheel and we headed to El Dorado (LOL) where we stayed at a lovely Best Western! This was after we got pulled over by the police for not having the correct beams on oooops!!

The Best Western was incredible, we had our own tv, two double beds, a boiling shower and we got to make the most of breakfast!! Not to mention the all the mini shampoos and conditioners in the bathroom ha ha ha!!

Next stop Lake Tahoe wooooo!
