Today we went to Chiang Siam Elephant Mahout Village based at Doi Inthanon National Park to spend a day with the elephants. We feed the elephants tonnes and tonnes of bananas and learnt how to ride the elephant using some basic commands such as Song Song, Huhhh, How, Quay and Toi. After we rode the elephants bare back through the jungle we went to the river and washed them. The elephants kept squirting us with their trunks :)
In the afternoon we visited the Red Karen hill tribe and went to Mae Sa Pok Waterfall. FYI the waterfall is soooo slippery and you will slip!! My head is still hurting!!! At the end of the day we went on a bamboo raft which took us down stream and back to the bus ready to go home. We were all sooo tired and ready for bed!! What an amazing day!! Favourite day so far!!
