The Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.

After waking up this morning and realising that our hotel was based on the South rim of the Grand Canyon and we actually wanted to be on the West side so we can go on the Grand Canyon Skywalk .... we ended up having to drive another 4 hours!! Nooooo!!

Sally the sat nav decided to freestyle and kept telling us to turn down dirt tracks or where there wasn't a road at all! Nightmareeee! We did however end up driving down route 66!! Woooo!! After Bethan asked for directions we finally managed to make our way there only to find out it cost $80 to do the Skywalk because you had to pay $44 towards the Hualapai Legacy!!!! The Native Americans are raking it in!!

The canyon is hugggeee and its over 4000 ft to the bottom! Ginge was absolutely pooing herself and didn't go anywhere near the edge!! Our first stop was Eagle Point. There was such a lush view of the Colorado river and the rock that looks like a eagle, hence the name. After a few pictures we went on the Skywalk which is a glass walk way over the 4000 feet drop! The view was amazing and we had some pictures taken at a price by a photographer because we weren't allowed to take anything on the skywalk with us! The river looks so close but we were told it was actually 3 miles away!

After Eagle Point and the Skywalk we had a nose around a Native American Village and visited Guano view point for some more amazing views!!

On the way back to Vegas we stopped off at the Hoover Dam. The dam made a massive lake called Lake Mead. Fact of the day ... It was built between 1932 and 1935 which is pretty impressive considering the size! It wasn't that pretty though just a lot of water and stone!!

Back to Vegas woooooo!!
